A CHIPPING Norton charity centre has been boosted by support from staff from local businesses.

Staff from the TSB Bank in Chipping Norton High Street supported The Albion Centre in Cattle Market, which supports adults with learning difficulties by helping out with their cooking and sewing sessions.

The volunteers heard that the art room had been out of use for a number of months, due to a leak causing irreparable damage to the floor.

TSB Chipping Norton staff called on local businesses to help repair the centre and Cotswold Carpets generously donated a new floor with local carpet fitter, Tom Edginton volunteering to fit the new floor free of charge.

Guy Jones, manager at TSB Chipping Norton, said: "The Albion is at the heart of the community, and it supports so many people.

"It’s brilliant to know that the time we’ve spent with The Albion will help it to continue to offer its much needed service to our local community.

"We’re thrilled to have been a part of this.”
