POLICE called by at a nursery for fun activities and to educate children about their work.

Children at Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery in Upper Tysoe were visited by PSCO Emma Turner from Shipston Safer Neighbourhood Team, earlier this month.

Children had the opportunity to try on police uniform and sit in a patrol car as well as learning about the work that the police service do.

Allie Aves, Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery manager, said: “The children were delighted to meet PSCO Turner and were allowed to try on some police uniform and sit in her patrol car, before she spoke to them about the work the police do to keep us safe and how to contact the police in different situations.

“She also talked to the children about policing in a rural community before they were given the opportunity to ask her questions about her job and what her favourite parts of her role were.

“We were very grateful for her giving up her time to come and visit us as the children gained so much from her visiting us and didn’t stop talking about it for days.”

PSCO Turner called into the Shenington Road day nursery to talk about the work the Police do as part of a project the children at the nursery are doing about ‘people who help us.’
