VOLUNTEERS are needed to help pass on the rich history of a Cotswold manor house to its visitors.
Snowshill Manor and Garden, near Broadway, will hold a drop-in session between 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday, January 28, for those interested in helping out.
The house – now owned by the National Trust – is packed with treasures collected by its former occupant, architect Charles Wade.
Hayley Gaisford-Gotto, general manager at Snowshill Manor, said: "Our volunteers are very precious to us, and we couldn’t open for visitors without them.
"Every team needs more volunteers so there will be activities for everyone – all you need is a friendly smile and a desire to want to help our visitors have a lovely day."
Potential volunteers can learn about the role by talking with staff and getting involved with activities to discover what being a National Trust volunteer is all about.
This might include learning about the collection, telling the Manor's stories to visitors or even getting hands-on in the tea room.
In case of wintry weather on the day, visit nationaltrust.org.uk/snowshillmanor for details - as the event may be postponed.
