SPECTATORS flocked to watch bursts of sparkling colour fill the night sky above on bonfire night.

St James’ and Ebrington Primary School arranged a dazzling display which took place at Chipping Campden Recreation Ground on Saturday.

Along with the pyrotechnics, there was a blazing bonfire, music, hog roast provided by Maypole Butchers of Welford-on-Avon and barbecue.

The evening's entertainment was organised by the St James’ Primary School PTFA and £3,000 was raised for the school.

Helen Lamb, chair of St James' PTFA for St James' and Ebrington C of e Primary School, said: "St James' PTFA are thrilled after another successful bonfire night and a record turn out to watch the fireworks display in Chipping Campden.

"This year they have raised over £3,000 for St James', which they plan to put towards refurbishing the playground and a new piano.

"They would like to say a huge thank you to Dan and his team from Revolution Events, who volunteered their time and services and to Maypole Butchers for their fabulous food.

"This is a great community event, put together by the parents and teachers of St James', we're really pleased with how it went this year and we're already talking about plans for next year."
