TEAM ladies' arm wrestling is muscling in for a world debut in Bourton this Friday, July 31, with teams of entrants being able to compete for medals and trophies.

The sport has been devised, developed and launched in Gloucestershire by Mike Sarl and Ted Gowin who designed and built the table and the competition is a free-to-enter event.

Mike Sarl said: "Tember Tables Ladies' Team Arm Wrestling is a world's first and we are awaiting contracts to be signed with a UK Boxing promoter and a You Tube partner, they will be forming a governing body and association to oversee the sports development.

"In a unique twist we will be launching the sport as 'ladies only'.

The inaugural event will be held at Bourton Rovers Football club with medals and trophies being sponsored by Bourton News and Gifts.

Mr Sarl added: "In response to queries, you only need three per team and you can have an optional substitute/coach who will also receive a medal. You will compete as a team, no-one will compete individually. Entry is free and all competitors will receive a medal. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will receive a medal and a trophy engraved by The Cotswold Engraver. It will be a great fun night."

Registration is from 7pm with the competition beginning at 8pm.
