BIDFORD-on-Avon's post office has a brand new look.

The post office, which has undergone a move and refurbishment, was officially opened on Tuesday.

The new post office is situated at Warner’s Budgens, Salford Road, having moved 480 metres from its previous location at 50 High Street, Bidford.

To celebrate the launch of the new-style, open-plan branch, subpostmaster and Warner’s Budgens owner, Guy Warner, was joined by Bill Fleming, chairman of Bidford Parish Council, who cut the ribbon.

Cllr Fleming said: “I was delighted to be asked to open the new office. This new Post Office with fantastically longer opening hours will really benefit local residents and businesses as people will be able to visit before or after work, or on the way to school. This will be very convenient. The new location also offers improved accessibility for people with disabilities and those with pushchairs as there is level entry and wide automatic doors.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to Guy Warner and Warner’s Budgens for ensuring the Post Office has stayed in Bidford on Avon.”

The new opening hours are Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
