SNEAK thieves entered a house in Callaways Road, Shipton, on Saturday July 4 while the householders were in the conservatory.

At around 11am the owners heard a noise at their front door and discovered a wallet and jewellery had been stolen from an upstairs room.

A neighbour said they had seen two white males in their early twenties leave the address at the time the residents became suspicious. One male was described as having longish grey hair and both were seen to leave in a small black car.

On this occasion the front door of the property had been left unlocked and the thieves were able to enter and leave undisturbed while the homeowners were still nearby.

Shipston Safer Neighbourhood Team is reminding people to be vigilant when in the house and ensure doors, windows and patio doors are locked while in another part of the house.
