YOUNGSTERS in the pre-school and school-ready rooms at Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery got a taste of election fever as they held their own vote as the nation went to the polls.
The classroom at the Upper Tysoe nursery was turned into a pretend polling station for the day and they got to vote for their favourite colour, favourite fruit at snack time and the best extra-curricular activity at nursery.
Day nursery manager Rachel Giorgio said: “This was a fun activity aimed at making them aware of the General Election and what is means. They all enjoyed taking part in the democratic process.
“Tennis is by far the favourite extra curriculum activity at nursery, with forest school and yoga joint second. Blue is the most popular colour and grapes are a hit at snack time, although bananas are a very close second.”
