CLOSE-harmony acoustic blues and folk trio Mumbo Jumbo is bringing their relaxed, eclectic sound to the Lifford Hall, Broadway.

The band will present its 'Troubadours and Raconteurs' tour show on Saturday May 9.

Featuring three of the Midlands' most experienced blues and roots musicians Oliver Carpenter, Chris Lomas and Phil Bond, the piano led trio combine to produce a sound all of their own playing uplifting, innovative original songs plus some more familiar tunes, all delivered with a real sense of humour.

"It's going to be a blast as all our village hall performances are a real blast," said Oliver, singing trumpeter with the band. "Playing in people's communities where there is already a strong bond between many of the audience creates a great, warm atmosphere that really suits our style. And for one night only, at the Lifford Hall we have a special guest performing a set with us."

With their album ‘Life of Riley’ getting rave reviews and lots of radio airplay, plus a nomination in the British Blues Awards for Best Songwriting, Mumbo-Jumbo bring something new wherever they play, building the audience into the show.

Tickets costing £8 are available online from www.mumbo-jumbo.biz, from Shop Right (Broadway Post Office) or Hilton China in Broadway or by phone on 01386 853652. The Show starts at 7.30pm.
