THERE is still time for people in Warwickshire to report their experiences of cyber crime as part of an online survey.

The survey run by Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Ball in partnership with Warwickshire County Council was launched in February and ends on Tuesday, May 5.

Participants are asked how they keep themselves safe from online threats and if they have ever been victim of cyber crime, which is believed to cost the UK economy £27 billion every year.

It is hoped the results of the survey will help develop of picture of the most common types of online crime facing people in Warwickshire.

Mr Ball said: “We have had a very positive response to the survey already, but I would encourage as many people as possible to take part and let us know their experiences.”

“Cybercrime is a growing threat potentially affecting each and every one of us and I am keen to get an accurate picture of how it currently affects people in Warwickshire.

“I have made tackling online crime one of my top priorities as Police and Crime Commissioner and the results from the survey will provide vital insights into how we can best achieve this.”
