CRACKING Easter egg fun is taking place at Winchcombe Playgroup for its annual Easter fundraising treasure hunt and fair.

The fun starts on Saturday March 28 between 10am and 12pm at the playgroup in Back Lane where there will be themed activities for the children and cakes and refreshments for the adults.

Set around the playgroup's Forest School site, the Easter egg hunt promises a prize for every child.

Entry is free but tickets for the children's Easter Egg hunt cost £2 in advance or £2.50 on the day. All money raised will go towards the learning, development and play of more than 100 local children who attend the playgroup.

Arno Ferreira, playgroup manager said: “The Easter fair and egg hunt is a big fundraiser for us. Last year we raised £2,000 which has been ploughed straight back into improving our buildings or buying new toys or learning resources."

Winchcombe Playgroup is a community-based non-profit making playgroup in a purposefully renovated building in the heart of Winchcombe. It provides learning, play and early years education for children from across the wider Winchcombe area.
