POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a driver smoking “the biggest spliff going” hit another car and drove off.

A silver Saab Estate chipped a blue Peugeot 5008 as it was being driven into a parking space outside Sainsbury’s in Barton Street, Gloucester, at about 6.15pm on Tuesday, March 10.

A witness told police the male driver of the Saab got out of his car smoking what they described as “the biggest spliff going” and urged the Peugeot owner not to get police involved, before getting back into his car and speeding off, narrowly avoiding hitting another vehicle.

The Saab driver or anyone who knows who they are is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 392-s-100315.
