A BLEND of songs and comic theatre is coming to Westcote Village Hall this weekend when the Ministry of Entertainment presents "Normal Service will be Resumed"

Taking place on Saturday March 21 at 7.30pm, Kate McNab and Ross Harvey present a show set in 1962.

Things are not looking good; Kennedy and Khruschev are about to collide over Cuba but the real trouble is brewing thousands of miles away, deep below the surface of Bristol in the BBC's emergency wartime studio. When the Cold War suddenly heats up, Skippy Catford, the ninny in the pinny, and Stanton Drew, everybody's favourite velvet-voiced radio celebrity, find themselves trapped underground with nothing but a pair of coconut shells and a swanee whistle to keep themselves amused.

Kate and Ross are described as 'a fine double act, comedy gold, a laugh a minute' and the show as another magical piece which is not to be missed.

Tickets are £12, including welcome drink, from 01993 931196 or 01993 832981.

The performance is supported by Arts in Rural Gloucestershire.
