A MONTH-long celebration of everything made and created in and around Moreton takes place throughout March.

Organised by the Moreton-in-March Business Association, the event presents a series of programmes in a variety of locations to showcase everthing that is produced in and around the town as a way of supporting and promoting local businesses.

Several businesses are throwing open the doors to their workshops to show people a 'behind the scenes' image of how things are produced such as 911 Rennsport Ltd where visiters will see how the somnpany restores and recreates the classic Porsche 911. There are galleries showcasing local artwork and Cacao Bean giving cake decorating demonstrations. Furniture maker Robin Furlong demonstrates dovetail joints and wood laminating while Mill Dene Gardens presents a display of locally produced items such as ceramics, paintings and benches. Wold Galleries will be providing advice on framing prints and paintings, while John Davies Gallery is exhibitng new work gby Peter Evans. Rock Precision Engineering will give a tour around the workshop explaining how items are made and will detail the whole manufacturing process while The Greek Deli is holding an all day tasting event.

Rapture and Wright will be showing their hand-printed fabrics and wallpapers.

Ian Sloan, of Bankier Sloan charterred surveyors said it was a chance for people to get to see what actually is made in and around Moreton.

"Many people have no idea of the industry that is going on so nearby and this is a chance for them to see it," he said.
