SHIPSTON Safer Neighbourhood Team has received several reports from local residents who have taken telephone calls from people claiming to be the police conducting a survey.
Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police want to assure residents that they are not currently conducting telephone surveys and the calls are likely to be a potential phone scam.
If anybody receives this type of call they are advised not to give out any personal details but hang up and dial 1471 to note any contact number listed. They are then asked to report it to the police on the non-emergency number 101.
