LOCAL residents could receive up to 100 per cent funding for loft and cavity wall insulation to help keep their homes warm this winter.

Councillor Sue Jepson, Cotswold District Council's Cabinet Member for Planning and Housing, explained: β€œOn average, a quarter of the heat in a typical home is lost when a loft is not insulated and this makes it very difficult to keep the house warm without increasing heating bills considerably. Additionally, many homes built after the 1930s are likely to have cavity walls and, typically, 35 per cent of the heat is lost as they are not insulated either. The good news is that funding is available to make homes more energy efficient through the Energy Company Obligation, which requires large energy suppliers to help people who require insulation. That is why it is so important to contact Green Homes Together so they can help you make the most of this offer.”
