A MILD and fine evening ensured Shipston's annual Victorian Christmas event on the first Friday in December was a roaring success.
Stalls reported a good trade throughout the evening and shoppers enjoyed the festive atmosphere with music, food and entertainment in the streets.
Town may Councillor Philip Vial said the atmosphere was good .
"The Rotary Club did a wonderful job once again in organising the evening which many seemed to think was the busiest yet. It helped with the fact the weather was mild and dry. All the charity stalls were busy and people were being very generous," he said.
The winner of the decorated shop window competition this year went to Righton's Butchers.
