INDIA'S youngest celebrity chef who was on a filming trip in England, dropped in for tea and scones at the home of Robin and Becky Simpson, near Moreton.

The chef, winner of India's equivalent to Master Chef last year, hosts India’s biggest food travelogue show. His UK experience stretched from London to Edinburgh and targeted young Indians back home in order to give them an insight into British food culture and the wide variety of cuisines on offer.

The Simpsons run a business called Secret Cottage which brings tourists into their home, though they never actually find out where it is, and where they enjoy coffee, lunch and a cream tea as well as a six-hour Cotswold tour that starts and finishes at Moreton Railway Station.

Mrs Simpson said they were approached by Mr Goila who was filming in the country and said he wanted to show people back home what it was like inside a private home and how an English family lived. The whole event was organised through Visit Britain, Virgin Atlantic and Cotswold Tourism as part of the food-related promotional tour.

"Having looked at our website, he contacted Visit Britain to see if I’d be interested in him coming here to film me cooking scones in the Aga," she said.

I was a bit apprehensive but everyone was great. What should have taken half an hour lasted around four hours.
