SUDELEY Castle and Gardens is celebrating Halloween with a spooky week of activities for all the family.

Ghastly ghost tours, haunting arts and crafts and a Halloween magician with his ‘Cabinet of the Curious’ will be hosted at the venue from Monday, October 27, to Friday, October 31.

The fright factor will increase even further on the Friday with a carved pumpkin display, UV face painting, a mini monster disco and a fire performance, as well as scary tales from the midnight storyteller and appearances from ghost, the owl.

Sian Jocelyn, visitor services manager at Sudeley Castle and Gardens, said: “We’re encouraging families to come along and join in the fun – and also look out for ghosts.

“Recurrent sightings are frequently reported, one of whom is a lady in a green dress walking mournfully through the gardens.

“The lady is believed to be the last of Henry VIII’s six wives, Katherine Parr. She lived and died in the castle and is buried in the church here - she was last seen on the anniversary of her death just over six weeks ago.”

Entry to the half-term Halloween events is included with general admission or season tickets.
