A COMMUNITY shred in will take place this month in Bledington to keep the community safe from identity theft while also raising money for the village hall charity.

Secure shredding specialists, Russell Richardson are bringing back the community shred in to Bledington Village Hall on Thursday, September 18.

Previously, the popular community events were organised by Ian Mackay of ALLShred who sadly passed away in December 2013.

During his illness Mr Mackay asked Sheffield based Russell Richardson to take over the ALLShred brand, entrusting the company to keep his Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire customers’ data safe with the same high standards of customer service.

The shred in allows local residents and small businesses to dispose of confidential and personal documents in a highly secure manner in return for a contribution to the Bledington Village Hall funds.

Bags of documents can be brought to Bledington Village Hall on the day and for £5, £2.50 of which will be donated to the Bledington Village Hall charity, the contents will be shredded.

The shredded paper will then be taken away for recycling by Russell Richardson.
