THE winding countryside roads of the Cotswolds have been hailed as one of the 'Great British Drives' by a national newspaper.
In the travel section of the Telegraph, praise is heaped upon an 80-mile route through the Cotswolds starting out from Chipping Campden, which it says is often described as having "the most perfect high street in England".
The route detailed takes in a host of local landmarks, including the Gordon Russell Design Museum, in Broadway, and Broadway Tower, the Cotswold Cricket Museum, in Stow, and the Cotswold Motoring Museum, in Bourton.
In his article, David Williams enthuses: "It's hard not to fall in love with the Cotswolds.
"Who wouldn't be enthused by the higgledy-piggledy villages in quiet secluded valleys, the honey-coloured cottages, the winding streams and hanging woods that are balm for eye and soul?"
