THE kitchen team at the Ebrington Arms in Ebrington will be getting a new look next month when they have their heads shaved for charity.

Head chef Jonny Mills, senior sous chef Darral Warner, sous chef David Collins, Janusz Bednarek and senior Chef De Partie Andy Lakey decided they would like to raise some money after being inspired by a radio advert for the 'Brave Shaver'.

They are now gearing up to have their heads completely shaved at 5pm on Friday, September 5 by Simon King from Colin John, in Moreton, to raise funds for Macmillan.

Mr Mills said: “We kept hearing this advert as we’ve got the radio on in the kitchen when we’re working and we just felt a bit inspired and decided to go for it and the whole team agreed to do it.”

Initially the group thought they might raise money for a couple of weeks but pub landlady, Claire Alexander, encouraged them to go the extra mile and grow their hair until September for more impact and hopefully raise more money.

They have now sworn not to have even the slightest trim until that date.

Any donations towards their efforts, can be made either in the pub or by visiting shaveorstyle.org.uk and searching for the ‘Ebrington Arms’.
