AS Moreton Art Weeks draws to a close this weekend, people can enjoy the final few events of the three-week festival.

Following the success of the ‘Some Corner of a Foreign Field’ poetry readings and the ‘Pack up your Troubles Musical Evening’, the Heroes of Moreton – We Remember Them exhibition will host two more events this week featuring author and historian, Neil Storey in the Redesdale Hall.

Today (Thursday) from 2pm to 5pm, he will be giving free advice on military photographs and memorabilia followed by the talk ‘Fallen: The Lost Generation of the First World War’ which ties in with the exhibition commemorating Moreton’s own fallen heroes from the Great War tomorrow (Friday) at 6pm.

His latest book ‘The Tommy’s Handbook’ published this month will be available after the talk and the author will be signing copies.

Art galleries, antique dealers and designers will also continue to host exhibitions in shops and galleries until the festival closes on Saturday.
