PRIZE roses and vegetables have been trampled on by cows and a ram in Moreton.
The animals escaped into the Croft Allotments through a fence and took a fancy to leek tops, beans, parsnips and onions.
Speaking at last night’s Moreton Town Council meeting, Councillor Ali Coggins said the farmer has attempted to repair the fence with pallets which was holding the cattle off at the moment.
“We’re going to write a letter to him to put the fence back,” she said.
