IT IS a double celebration for a Cotswold country pub near Bourton after winning not one but two prestigious awards.
The Slaughters Country Inn, Lower Slaughter, has been awarded a '5 Gold Star Award’ by the AA and a 2 AA Rosettes for its restaurant.
Both awards are a sign of exceptional quality with the 5 Gold Star Award status recognising the pub's excellent standards and great breakfasts which include fresh local produce.
The 2 AA Rosette for the restaurant describesThe Slaughters Country Inn as an "excellent restaurant, which aims for and achieves high standards and where there’s attention to the selection of quality ingredients".
Stuart Hodges, General Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to announce both awards, which are a reflection of the team’s consistent efforts to offer our customers the very best.
"We’re known for offering delicious food, simply prepared and using the finest Cotswold produce, complemented by a wide selection of local ales, and so we must thank our great local suppliers too.
“If you’ve not yet dined or stayed with us, then we’d love to welcome you – summer’s a great time to come and enjoy our riverside terrace either for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea, or simply to enjoy a summer drink, and we look forward to seeing you”.
