PEOPLE can get a rare glimpse around the gardens of a 17th century manor house near Shipston which are opening to the public for the first time in eight years.
Compton Scorpion Manor gardens, on the B4035, will open its gates to the public at a special summer event on Sunday, June 15 from 2pm to 5pm.
The event is being held to raise funds for Ebrington School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA.
After last year’s vintage tea party in Ebrington village hall, the group hope to replicate its success on a bigger scale and the mums will be dressing up as fifties fillies as they serve homemade cakes.
Tickets are £4 and are available on the gate.
