VOTING for the European Parliament is taking place next month.

Cotswold District is part of the South West Region of the UK, and will return six MEPs to Brussels.

The relevant Notice of Election, which takes place on Thursday, May 22, has been published and is available now on the Council’s website and poll cards to all registered electors in the district are being sent out.

People who are not registered must complete a registration form to ensure they can vote in this forthcoming election.

Registration forms must be returned to the Council by Tuesday, May 6 or people who prefer to vote by post, applications must be received by Wednesday, May 7.

Anyone who is registered to vote and have recently moved, or who is not sure whether they are on the electoral register, should call 01285 623002.
