A FARM near Moreton which recently opened up a new farm shop is hosting Easter walks during the holidays.

Old Farm, in Dorn, is opening up the Farm Walk for the Easter Holidays from Wednesday (April 9) to Saturday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 16 to Saturday April 19 during normal shop hours 9.30am to 5pm.

Visitors can follow the trail, see the lambs and find the clues to win an egg and drop into the shop for a drink and piece of cake.

The farm shop finally moved into its new premises into the old cow shed at the bottom of the yard, next to the butchery.

It is three times the size of their original premises, which they opened in 2004 in a small garage they converted, and offers home produced lamb, beef, pork and eggs along with cooked, sliced ham and other ready to eat products using ingredients from the farm.

There is now a wider range of local produce including cheeses and coming soon, Old Farm Cider and other local beers.

The move should have happened a year ago but as the shed was taken over by the BBC 1 series “Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen” plans had to be put on hold.
