Older adults offered emotional wellbeing support
4:04pm Wednesday 26th March 2014 in News
NEW courses specifically designed to help older people with their emotional wellbeing are running in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Cotswolds.
The free courses are being provided by Let’s Talk – part of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust – and the service is also offering to visit care homes and retirement complexes to hold sessions.
So far there are two courses planned for Cheltenham – Stress and Anxiety for older people starting on Friday, April 25 and Emotional Wellbeing for older people starting on July 1.
But care homes and retirement complexes around the Cotswolds can enquire about the service providing a specific course for their residents.
The Emotional Wellbeing for Older Adults course is designed to help provide the skills and strategies to help people feel better and maintain overall emotional wellbeing in the company of people of a similar age.
To find out when courses are running or enquire about hosting a course for a group you organise or a care home you manage, call Let’s Talk on 01242 634241.
