NEARLY 70 specialist Oriental items from the 1960s and 70s are going under the hammer in Winchcombe.
This is the first specialist sale for British Bespoke Auctions, based in The Old Boys' School, Gretton Road, on Friday, March 7.
Auctioneer Nick Granger travelled to South American before Christmas to consign the collection which came from a Brazilian Diplomat who collected and bought the items while in China in the 1960s and 70s.
Highlights of the sale include a Pair of 19th Century Cloisonné Vases and an archaic translucent Burmese Jade vase each estimated to fetch £6,000.
Mr Granger said: "The Burmese vase is translucent which shows its really good quality. It's magnificent find, owned by a very important family.
"We were contacted by a lady who owned the collection who was looking for a good auction house to sell the collection, out of 200 companies they picked us. They must have liked the look of us."
