CHIPPING Norton Mayor Mike Tysoe is set to carry on his role for another year.
Members of the town council unanimously voted for him to continue in the position for the year 2014/15 at a recent meeting, following a nomination from the Mayoral Selection Committee earlier this month.
Councillor Chris Butterworth was also nominated to continue as deputy.
Councillor Alex Corfield said: "The Mayor this year has done a legion of work. He's done a fabulous job and I'm delighted he's prepared to stand for a second term and for Chris Butterworth to stand.
"He was a very good mayor before him. I just pity the people that will come after them, they set the bar very high."
Cllr Tysoe will be formally elected to stand for a second term in the Mayor-making ceremony in May.
