ABOUT £1,000 worth of ornaments and jewellery were stolen from a house in Kemerton, near Bredon earlier this week.

Burglars broke into the house some time between 11.30am and 1.45pm on Monday, January 27.

They made an untidy search of the house and stole a number of items including a silver plated toast rack, a wooden mantel clock, a solid silver model of a Brixham trawler boat and a black marble stand and six Dinky toys, including Foden lorries, pictured.

A pair of art nouveau silver plated candle sticks, a Clarice Cliff crocus pattern honey pot, a 1950s jewellery box, a marcasite ring three necklaces – one with an oval pendant with a fish design – and a silver-coloured chain with a red enamel round disc pendent were also stolen.

Detective Constable Nicky Burgess from Worcester Proactive CID said: “This burglary happened in the middle of the day and we are very keen to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in Kemerton or any of the other local villages on Monday.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the items listed at a knock down price.”
