AN elderly woman was airlifted to hospital after falling ill near Shipston.
Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) were called just after 10.30am on Saturday (18) after an 81-year old woman was reported to be suffering chest pains in Sutton-Under-Brailes.
The crew landed in a field near to where the incident took place and it was discovered she was suffering a heart attack and required immediate transfer to the nearest specialist cardiology unit.
She was flown to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, for further treatment.
