A SHIVERING lurcher left tied to Dogs Trust Evesham’s railings just before Christmas in the freezing rain needs a new home.

Staff were stunned to find the timid two-yearold Lurcher called Cindy tied up outside the rehoming centre in Wickhamford, without a word from her owners.

Staff say she is only now starting to trust people again.

Assistant manager Emma Bragginton, said: “We were shocked that anyone could just abandon such a sweet, gentle natured dog.

“She was such a nervous girl when she first came to us so it is heart-warming to see how she is has learnt to trust her carers, who adore her.

“After being left out in the cold, we hope she will find a warm welcome into a loving new home in the new year.”

“Cindy is looking for gentle, experienced owners who will continue her training and help her settle in and become part of the family.

“She would suit a warm, quiet environment with owners who can be around most of the day to keep her company.

“Cindy can live with children over eight and would love to be in a home where she can relax and lap up lots of cuddles and attention.

“We would love her to have a fresh start and find a place she can really call home this new year.”
