THE dawn of the new year has brought with it the beginning of the January sales and there’s much to be bought in the stores around Evesham town centre.

With many of the town’s independent stores slashing the prices this month there has never been a better reason to head in and explore.

Forget Me Not Crafts, in Bridge Street, is the perfect place to visit if a new hobby is high on your list of new year resolutions.

Lynne Llywarch, owner, said she has a whole wall of products reduced in price.

“We have reduced some items in the store,” she said.

“We got one part of the shop that we designate for things we are promoting so we have lots of reduced items there.

“We have general découpage and card-making products. We also have two bins full of stuff for cardmaking, which range from paper flowers to embellishments, all from 10p.

“There is plenty to have in the shop and it gets people in to have a look around and I can pass any savings I make on to the customers.

“I say to people to keep supporting us if they want us to be here in the future.”

Other stores with great January of fers include Knights Mens Wear, in High Street, Butterfly Wings Beauty in Vine Mews, Fallon 4 interiors, in High Street, Pride Clothing, in Vine Street, Bradfords Carpet & Bedding, in High Street, and Mattress and Bedstore, in High Street.

Michael Dykes, who owns Mattress and Bedstore, said: “There is 20 per cent of all our mattresses and some of our divans.

“More or less everything in the shop has been put into the sale. Everything from headboards to mattresses.

It is a classic January sale.

“We also offer free delivery and we assemble the beds and mattresses for people. You could say we offer an old-fashioned service, we won’t dump the mattress in the hall and leave.

We install it all in the home for our customers.”
