EVESHAM people have been making their opinions on the future of the town heard at drop-in sessions.

The events have proved so popular they are to be extended into the new year.

The Evesham Town Plan Steering Group is also hosting four two-hour workshops to expand on how the town should evolve over the next five, 10 and 20 years.

Patrick Staines, chairman of the group, said: “The workshops will be fun, engaging and a powerful addition to our information gathering. People flocked to the first drop-in events in December.”

The first two are on Monday, January 6, between 10am and 4pm at St Peter’s Church Hall in Bengeworth and from 5pm to 8pm at Evesham Leisure Centre.

They will be followed by a 10am until 3pm session at Evesham Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 8, and then 10am to 4pm at the Riverside Shopping Centre on Saturday, January 11.

Three of the workshops are taking place at Evesham Town Hall, between 10.30am and 12.30pm and from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday, January 14, and starting at 10.30am until 12.30pm on Thursday, January 16.

There will also be one in the Munroe Suite at the Northwick Hotel, between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday, January 16.
