‘TIS the season to wear a Christmas jumper and youngsters at Pershore’s Cherry Orchard First School did just that for the day to raise money for children in the Phillipines. The children took part in the Christmas jumper day for Save the Children, which is donating cash in aid of those left devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.

All the classes wanted to help out as one of the school’s pupils originates from the country. It was also a chance for the children to make the most of their seasonal jumpers and they wore tops adorned with everything from Rudolph the red nose reindeer to Christmas trees and snowmen.

The day raised £90 for the charity.
