SHOPPERS at an Evesham supermarket dug deep for Help for Heroes during a recent collection by the charity.
Volunteers got together at Morrisons in Evesham on Saturday, November 23, and collected £1,360.16 for the charity, which raises money for military personnel who have been injured in conflicts.
The fund-raising event was organised by Bob White, from Cotswold Bespoke Wills, who secured permission from Geraint Jones the Morrisons Charity Co-ordinator.
Ian Baldry, Worcestershire Help for Heroes County Coordinator, said: “The support and generosity shown by the Morrisons’ customers was outstanding and we are most appreciative.
“Help for Heroes is now a permanent charity leading the way in the support of our Armed Forces who are seriously injured either on operations or during training.
To meet our ongoing commitments H4H needs to raise £40 million per year.”
