A COFFEE shop in Chipping Campden has proved it has the talent for brewing a top-notch beverage after winning a coveted award.
The Campden Coffee Company has been awarded a Four Cup Accreditation in the Beverage Standards Association 2013 Awards.
Owners Simon and Paula Lingard attended the awards dinner at Fulham Palace last week along with their head of operations Neil Dodgson- Hatto.
Before setting up the business four years ago in the Old Silk Mill, Sheep Street, the couple had no previous experience in the coffee industry.
Mrs Lingard, who worked as the manager of the artists co-operative at the Gallery and the Guild for eight years before opening the shop, said: “This award means the world to us.
“We work in close partnership with our suppliers to provide excellent coffee to our customers and to be judged an exceptional outlet for drinks and service is a great honour.”
Ranald Paterson, chairman of the assessors at the Beverage Standards Awards, said: “The top candidates were visited two, sometimes three times, over the last six months before satisfying the judges on the final awards.”
