Royal reception for Janet
A COTSWOLD entrepreneur got a royal seal of approval when she showcased her clothing business to the Prince of Wales.
Janet Fitch, of Little Compton, near Moreton, attended a reception hosted by the prince at St James’s Palace to celebrate the success of the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise entrepreneurs.
The entrepreneur was invited to attend the event having set-up her own business Absolutely Classical Clothing after she attended a business training course run by the charity.
The reception was part of a series of ‘Celebrating Enterprise’ events marking what the Prince and his charities have achieved in the area of enterprise.
The grandmother-of-six, who has always had a keen interest for designing and making clothes for herself, said: “It’s not every day one is invited to attend an event at St James’s Palace and it was a great honour for me to have the opportunity to show The Prince of Wales my ideas and designs.”
