THE people of Pershore and its Plum Festival Committee would like to welcome everyone to the town this weekend for the pinnacle of their month-long Plum Festival!
Whether it’s classic cars, fun-filled fairground rides, the flavoursome food village, Broad Street Farmers’ Market or simply the exciting mix of musical entertainment, you will be sure to have a day to remember.
On Monday listen for the Abbey bells as they ring out to welcome you at 9.30am.
Join in the procession at 9.50am from Plum Alley to Broad Street when Trevor Harrison, who plays Eddie Grundy in the BBC Radio 4 series The Archers, will officially open the day’s proceedings.
Plum Alley will be open all day for the chance to buy and taste plum products created by local entrepreneurs as well as our Plum Festival merchandise stall selling souvenirs of our award-winning event. The all new Plum Pound Store will be selling pocket money souvenirs for our younger visitors in Plum Alley.
Pershore Abbey will be welcoming the little ones and their teddies to take on the teddy zip wire and teddy parachute drops as well as Abbey Tower Tours.
More than 600 classic cars are due on Abbey Park with a number of big car clubs along with the all new food village offering a variety of dishes to tempt the palate.
Plum Fun Zone will be busier than ever on King George’s Field, allowing you to take on the Land Zorbs at Pershore Town Football Club, crazy ‘plum’ golf, bouncy castle, Wychavon Youth Bus, climbing wall, boat trips and much more!
