On your marks for charity
EVESHAM’S popular Hampton Ferry Charity Race and Fun Run is taking place later this month to help raise funds for Diabetes UK.
The event, which includes a 5km timed run, a 2km fun run with optional fancy dress and a teddy bear toddle, starts at 11am on Saturday, March 23.
Both the start and finish take place at Raphael’s Restaurant in Boat Lane, Evesham.
Fran Webb, who organises the event, said: “To date, this annual event has raised an amazing £8,000 for the charity Diabetes UK.
“This year, Evesham High School pupils have chosen to support the charity and will be taking part in the race and we’d like to see as many people as possible join them on the day – the more the merrier.”
Entry on the day is £10 per person for the 5km, £5 for the 2km and £2 for the Teddy Bear Toddle and all proceeds go to Diabetes UK.
