Beer, music and rugby
LIVE music, beer and rugby are promised at a new Vale event.
On Saturday, Evesham Rugby Club will be hosting its first Beer Festival and Legends Day, which organisers hope will become an annual event.
The family event at the riverside ground off Avon Street is set to begin at noon and promises a wide selection of locally brewed beers and ciders, a pig roast and barbecue, live music, children’s games and rugby matches both at the club and on-screen.
Jon Nettell, captain of Evesham Rugby Club’s fourth team, which is organising the event, said: “It is a beer festival with music. All the brewers are from the area, the food stalls will be full of good local produce and the bands are from the area as well.
“Everyone is welcome, particularly former players, sponsors and supporters as this combines with our annual Legends Day.”
All money raised will go to the rugby club. For more details visit pitchero/clubs/eveshamrfc.
