CHIPPING Norton Leisure Centre’s state-of-the-art gym refurbishment has been unveiled.

The facility on Burford Road has undergone a £150,000 makeover which included a complete redecoration as well as new equipment and layout.

Leisure centre operator GLL arranged a temporary gym in the centre’s studio and squash court while the bulk of the work was completed over 10 days.

The project was funded by West Oxfordshire District Council, with operator GLL contributing to the redecoration.

Councillor Richard Langridge, cabinet member for local economy, communities and culture at WODC, unveiled the newlook gym last week.

He said: “This wonderful refurbishment has brought the gym bang up to date and offers a great opportunity for young and old alike to get fit and healthy in a welcoming facility.”
