ONE of Worcester’s best-known entrepreneurs and philanthropists was the guest speaker at a special event hosted by the University of Worcester.
Cecil Duckworth, chairman of Worcester Warriors Rugby Club, entertained a packed studio at the Hive before signing copies of his new book Worcester Warrior.
Mr Duckworth’s gas-fired combination boiler revolutionised Britain's central heating industry and the company became part of the Bosch group in 1992. He and his wife Beatrice created the Duckworth Trust which is dedicated to the conservation, protection and enhancement of the natural and built environments.
Right: Mr and Mrs Duckworth and University of Worcester vice-chancellor David Green.
