FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a woman from her car after hitting a tree near Guiting Power.

Crews were called from Stow, Winchcombe and Moreton at about 12.20pm yesterday to the B4077 at the Trafalgar crossroads between Temple Guiting and Toddington.

Paramedics were also called and found a Land Rover had struck tree and was on its side.

Crews cut the woman, thought to be in her 20s, from the car and she was assessed on scene for minor injuries and taken to Cheltenham General Hospital as a precaution.

It is thought she was discharged very soon afterwards.
