A 14-year-old Moreton girl appeared at Gloucester crown court today accused of slashing a boy of 16 with a craft knife in a bus shelter.

The girl, who cannot be named, is charged with wounding the boy with intent to do him grievous bodily harm in Moreton. She also faces a less serious alternative charge of unlawful wounding.

The alleged victim suffered horrific cuts to his forearm and hand. Recorder David Lane QC bailed the girl to return to court on Monday, March 11 for a plea and directions hearing.
