A GROUP of young farmers from Worcestershire have bared all in a 2013 calendar.

The Inkberrow Young Farmers Club decided to step out in nothing but their wellies to support a charity close to their hearts and to mark a milestone year in the group’s history.

With 24 photos of members braving the elements, the club is hoping to end its 70th anniversary year with a fund-raising boost of £2,000.

Heather Rimmer, chairman of the club, said the money would go to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, which provided lifesaving treatment to two members during the summer.

“They were injured in a serious car accident on a Young Farmers rally day,” said Heather, who is also a nurse at the hospital.

About 25 people took part in the calendar. All the photos were taken around a member’s farm by Worcestershire photographer Lucy Hurst.

“We were inspired by another naked calendar that we saw,” added Heather, who features in the calendar in February. “When we first put the idea forward the girls were more up for it than the boys but they came round.

We want to get the word out there about the calendar.

“We got 200 printed but we may get more if people want them. We are all hoping to have a really good year of fund-raising as the club is being chaired by girls, myself and Lizzie Jordan.”

To buy a calendar, at £10, visit the Old Bull pub or the post office in Inkberrow or call Heather on 07851 096 377.
