DRINKERS and staff at a village pub are sporting hairy top lips for ‘Movember’.
Luke McDonagh, who works in the kitchen and behind the bar at the New Inn, Willersey, and six regulars are raising funds and awareness for the prostate and testicular cancer charity. All participants start off clean shaven, then grow and groom their moustache for a month.
The pub’s involvement in the campaign has been organised by regular Anne Lampitt, who lost her father to cancer.
Movember was invented in 2003 by a few friends over a beer in Australia. It has now grown into a global movement, with campaigns in 21 countries.
