Devil incarnate?

ANYONE reading Mr Cochrane’s letter in last week’s Journal would think M&S are the devil incarnate and not a wellloved British department store trying to open up a shop in our town.

Yes, it would be great if they could move into the town centre, but there is nowhere large enough with free car parking, which all the other supermarkets have. Where are M&S supposed to store their trolleys and how are people supposed to get their groceries back to their car?

Does Mr Cochrane think people will be prepared to trolley them on the pavement all the way down to Merstow Green car park after paying through the nose for the privilege?

The two proposed retail park units are currently standing idle and empty (what a waste!), and are a perfect size for M&S.

Look on the ‘Bring M&S back to Evesham’ facebook group, Mr Cochrane, and read for yourself all the positive and glowing comments from past M&S employees about how well they treat their staff and what a pleasure they are to work for.

Think of what 60 new jobs would mean to our town!
